Recently, Fernanda Pavisic , Miss Universe Bolivia who won the title has been dethroned. She was dethroned first week of December following offensive statements she made in a video, about her fellow contestants at the world event scheduled for January 2023.

The management of the organization and franchise , Promociones Gloria, dethroned her because her utterances go against the whole idea and goals of the pageant which is to foster love and promote togetherness in the world at large.

In response, Fernanda Pavisic said that it was unfair of the organization to dethrone her because all she did was a social experiment. She never made racist comments and did not deserve to be stripped.

However , Promociones Gloria stood by their decision and named a replacement immediately. She has been officially installed. She will represent Bolivia in New Orleans in January 2023.
