3 known ways to stop your accessories from tarnishing.

Your gold or silver accessories is most likely to fade off when not handled properly. It can be really frustrating when you buy accessories with quite the expectations of having it last for a long time but then the disappointment of watching your favorite jewelry turn a shade of brown or black will most certainly make you or your circle question it originality or price tags and we both know how uncomfortable that can be (sigh).

Here are 3 known ways to keep your accessories slaying!

1. Sort them out: one wrong move is placing your gold, silver or bronze accessories in the same box! While this may almost look like the ideal thing to do because it helps to pick them out at once however keep in mind that these accessories may rub off on each other hence leaving marks or stains behind. Set aside a separate box for each and don’t forget to lay a soft satin material preferably cream in the box.

2. Keep the moistures out: Applying lotions or body spray directly on your jewelry actually causes more harm than good. These beauty products contains some harsh properties that are not so suitable for your accessories thus leading to it fading on time. It is most advisable not to go swimming with your jewelry on (remember the pool contains Chlorine!) once you’re retiring your accessories for the day, gently clean with a soft gauze or cotton wool to get any residue off your accessories before storing them away. 

3. Tomatoes to the rescue! (Common don’t look at me like that) That red, round and  juicy fruit isn’t just for cooking. Gently cut your tomato into two halves and rub gently on your accessories. Clean off with warm water and I bet you’ll be surprised with the new shiny look you’re guaranteed to get!
